ABL Semi-Finals Philippine Patriots vs. Indonesia Warriors

The home team (Philippine Patriots) sure pulled out all the stops at the first game of the ABL Semi-Finals between the Philippine Patriots and Indonesia Warriors last May 27, 2012 at the Ynares Sports Complex in Pasig City. 

There was a bus load of kids in white (matching the home team's color) who were cheering the home team. Literally there was a bus parked outside and it would only be safe to assume that that was the transportation of the children. Speaking of a bus load of kids,  they obviously rehearsed as their tiny voices rang in the air with cheers of 'defense' and 'offense' it was a good thin they did not mix up the two during the game.

We usually stay up in the evening until the sun comes up. Luckily, there was a solar eclipse due 5:30AM manila time. We couldn't resist and thought that it would be a great opportunity to capture the astronomic phenomenon.

So we went out of the house and went up the street toward a hill  to get a clear view.  Since almost anywhere we went, there's always something blocking our view.

As the solar eclipse took place, it wasn't obvious since the sun is flaring out, you could barely notice the moon coming in from the left side. I had to choke the light out of the camera to get the moon and sun to show.  This renders everything else under exposed.  I sure hope my camera's sensor is fine.  Normally, I don't point it directly at the sun but, I have too.

I find the photos ok, but not the way I want it to be.  In the end I'm happy that I got to spend some time with my wife and seen an eclipse with her.

Patriots VS Slingers

ASEAN Basketball League game 78 between the Philippine Patriots and Jobsteet.com Singapore Slingers. The game started off with the Slingers leading and they managed to stay on top of the Patriots for most part of the game. During the 3rd quarter, Anthony Johnson rallied the Patriots and produced 3 baskets in a row. Patriots got the best of the Slingers and got the W, with the game end score of 90-84.
